MAN'S QUEST FOR BETTERNESS
MAN’S QUEST FOR BETTERNESS
Success is not final; failure is not fatal,
It is the courage to continue that counts.
This courage is pushing men to become beasts and women animals,
Humans now fight nature to become, not minding the pains.
Everyday that breaks, break my unending desires and quest to chase the bread,
my breath sometimes look back at my speed and ask why.
Yeah, I thought it's easy but now I know,
Life is all hailstones here and before the snow,
For what comes just goes yet we keep on searching,
Then you realize without pain you have nothing.
We're too afraid to let go so we hold on to fading memories,
Become too sober to realize life is melting in a quest for basic groceries,
Days into years we explore the vibes and learn to grasp,
Suffering and smiling hoping for a change till the last breath we gasp.
You also thought it's easy but now you know it's not,
Do your best and never greed for a lot,
Play no games but understand the difference between want and need,
And while we decide between heaven or hell, on earth our hearts can only bleed.
The world is moving fast with every tick of time,
On whose direction I don't know maybe you can ask Mr crime,
The night is ruthless, I can’t even speak for the day, just hold on tight,
Darkness and now the daylight throws no mercy so never lose sight.
For I know what lies behind is ahead again,
If death is the end, of what worth is the pain?
I stare on the other side yet I'm not blind to wherever I am,
Reminiscing with nature and the Man on the other side, help find who I am.
My name is Henry Young Bigha,
I am just a man on a quest for BETTERNESS.
